I always so appreciate when my friends recommend me as a photographer and was very grateful to my neighbours for suggesting me to Bex and Sean for their lovely, sunny wedding.
Bex and Sean were married in August at the cosy Combe House Hotel on the beautiful Quantock Hills, an area of outstanding natural beauty near my home in Somerset.
Sean has an identical twin brother and the brothers dressed is matching kilts which looked fabulous!
Bex was stunning in her classic dress by Maggie Sottero of Rookery Manor.
And Lianne Ardren (Hair By Lianne) did the bridal parties’ hair.
We were so lucky as after a sodden Friday, the sun shone for most of Saturday, only disappearing briefly when Sean and Bex and I went for our 10 minute walkabout. This was particularly welcome as Sean and Bex could then have a stunning outdoors ceremony in front of the hotel and champagne on the lawn afterwards.
I often use the time when guests are finding their places for the Wedding breakfast to do a ten minute walkabout with my bride and groom. Guests always take around 15 minutes to find their places and sit down and doing my couple shots while guests get sorted is a great use of this time. Then the bride and groom can also make a big entrance afterwards, we’ve done the photos. It’s also a welcome breather for the bride and groom to have ten minutes quiet time during their day.
Bex and Sean and I had scoped the best locations for their couple shots behind the hotel on our recce day so swapping shoes for wellies we slipped away to the woodland area behind the hotel where there was a pretty stream and camp.
