The second part of Beth and Matt’s wedding took place at the stunning Midelney Manor near Langport in Somerset on a beautiful summers day this August. Midelney Manor is the home of Alice Acton and her family and it really does feel like you are at home rather than at a wedding venue. There is an extra bit of magic here !

What a wedding – I’ve never seen bridesmaids, mother of the bride and the bride dance so much before the ceremony ! Eloise and her friends spent most of the morning trying to choose their walking in song. And with everyone staying in the amazing North Cadbury Court there were endless opportunities for fun. From playing golf on the roof to swimming in the lake and playing croquet on the lawn. Meanwhile Brad and the ushers were brushing up their snooker in the billiards room.

What better way to beat the heat of a scorching Summer’s day (36 degrees!) than to place lots of paddling pools in your marquee? Truly such a sunny wedding in every way at Millie’s fabulous home just a stone’s throw from my studio near Crowcombe,
The marquee was placed on top of a hill next to the Bride’s house and luckily there were just enough trees to provide nice soft light under their branch cover for our group shots.

I find that I am editing images into black and white more and more – I just love the way it makes the photo so emotionally impactful. By way of example, are some of my favourite images from Michelle and Ian’s incredible wedding at perhaps one of the most stunning locations for a marquee ever!

Emily & Mike had such a lovely, intimate winter wedding at the fabulous Coombe Lodge, a stunning stone Manor House near Blagdon Somerset.

Elisabeth and Tom had an intimate and cosmopolitan wedding at my friend Minky’s stunning holiday house in Somerset.

Amy & Chris had one of the most relaxed weddings I’ve had the pleasure to photograph. They were such a pleasure to photograph and I especially loved the Getting ready photos with Amy in the undercroft and Chris in the snooker room which has recently repainted in this stunning deep blue colour.

Izi & Alex had just the sort of country wedding I love with a beautiful church ceremony followed by a wonderful reception at Izi’s family home in Somerset.
