Family Portraits

I am lucky enough to do a number of photo-shoots each year with the fabulous Sleeps 12 and I recently had the pleasure to photograph Jan and her family and friends at Cockercombe.

They stayed very near me in West Bagborough, at the foot of the stunning Quanotck Hills and we took a series of photos in the garden with the whole gang and then smaller family groups.

Harriet and Sam's Wedding

Sam and Harriet, both doctors, had the most lovely wedding in Kingston St. Mary Church, near Taunton and then afterwards at Harriet’s family’s home and beautiful gardens.

In spite of torrential rain the week preceding their big day, the sun shone brightly all day for us and not a puddle was in sight.

Harriet’s dress was by local designer Sassi Holford;  her hair was done by Kelly from The Mount Salon, Wellington and Katie Allway did her make up.

This country wedding had stunning table decorations, a magical umbrella tree and a little pond lit up with floating fairy lights!

Bex and Sean

Bex and Sean were married late in August at the cosy Combe House Hotel on the beautiful Quantock Hills in Somerset.

We were so lucky as after a sodden Friday, the sun shone for most of Saturday, only disappearing briefly when Sean and Bex and I went for our 10 minute walkabout.  This was particularly welcome as Sean and Bex could then have a stunning outdoors ceremony in front of the hotel and champagne on the lawn afterwards.

Without doubt, the Combe House Hotel’s chef provided the best wedding breakfast I have ever had!  Thanks for looking after us so well!  And Sean and Bex never stopped smiling the whole day! Just perfect! Thank you for asking me to be your wedding photographer and thanks too to my able assistant Paul.

Lovely Lianne Ardren (HairByLianne) did Bex and her bridesmaids’ hair and the dress was by Maggie Sottero from Rookery Manor.

Eric and Omah

The latest additions to my family couldn’t be more different to each other.  We have Omah, the stunning, 15.3 arab horse and Eric, a tiny, shaggy fell pony who is just 1 year old.  Horses are herd animals and don’t like being on their own so Eric is a companion pony for Omah.

Eric’s Mum was rescued by The Quantock Trekking Centre in West Bagborough but no one knew she was pregnant. Eric is the result and he’s a really brave little pony. He went in his first lorry recently (Quantock Transport) and walked straight up the ramp -  and since he and Omah have been together there hasn’t been any politics at all! We love him already!
